CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Frank Polito announced the signing of Maddie Kavenagh for 2026-27, becoming the second addition for the Vikings this fall.

Kavenagh spent the last three seasons at John Carroll University, compiling 26 dual wins, with the majority of the matches coming at No. 1. In doubles, she put up a 31-19 record.

Kavenagh was named First Team All-Conference all three seasons and twice received All-Academic honors. Additionally, she was a 2024 & 2025 ITA Scholar-Athlete and CSCA All-District honoree.

Kavenagh played at Revere High School, where she was named First Team All-Conference all four seasons. She was a 2019 OHSAA State Doubles Qualifier, and in 2021 was named First Team OHSAA All-State and was a fourth-place finisher in doubles at states.
