Lennart Heck, Men's Soccer
Scored his first career goal in the win against Oakland, which came as the game-winner in the 89th minute.
Cortlyn Hefty, Women's Soccer
Scored two goals on the week, marking the first goals of her collegiate career.
Natalie Keller, Cross Country
Paced the Vikings with a top-20 finish at the All-Ohio Classic with a 6K time of 22:49.90, also finishing fourth among DI runners.
Laken Voss, Volleyball
Averaged 3.83 kills per set on the week and recorded the 1,000
th kill of her career with a team-best 11-kill performance in a 3-0 sweep over Kent State.

Women's Soccer
-Cleveland State begins its longest homestand of the season with a pair of games this week on Thursday against Youngstown State, followed by IU Indy on Sunday.
-The Vikings began Horizon League play this past week with a pair of ties against Detroit Mercy, 3-3, and Oakland, 1-1.
-Three goals against Detroit Mercy were all collegiate firsts, two by Cortlyn Hefty and one by Nikolina Miskovic, while Tanji Sarver was the goal scorer for the Vikings against Oakland.
Men's Soccer
-The Vikings continue #HLMSOC play this week with a trip to Northern Kentucky on Saturday.
-Cleveland State picked up its second straight shutout in a 1-0 victory at home versus Oakland.
-Lennart Heck scored his first collegiate goal, which was the game-winner in the 89th minute, while Ryan Poling picked up his second straight shutout after making three saves.
Volleyball
-Cleveland State will open Horizon League play on the road this week, traveling to Northern Kentucky for a two-match series on Friday and Saturday.
-Last time out, the Vikings split their final two non-league games, including a 3-0 sweep over Kent State.
-Senior Laken Voss eclipsed the 1,000-kill mark for her career against Kent State, finishing with a team-best 11 kills.
Cross Country
-Cleveland State will have a week off before competing in the Joe Piane Invite hosted by Notre Dame on Friday, October 3.
-The Vikings finished seventh in the All-Ohio Classic last time out, two spots higher than last year. The race was the first 6K of the year.
-For the second straight year, Natalie Keller paced the Green and White, placing 19th overall and fourth among D1 runners with a time of 22:49.90.
Men's Golf
-Cleveland State will take the week off from competition, returning to action at the annual
Tom Tontimonia Invitational October 6-7.
-Last time out, the Vikings finished seventh as a team at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, while Brody Simms posted a team-best 14
th place individual finish.
-So far this fall, Brody Simms has recorded a top-15 individual finish in all three events, while Dillon Pendergast has notched two top-15 finishes.
Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will take the week off from competition, returning to action at the Horizon League Individual Championships, October 3-5.
-The Vikings opened their fall slate last weekend, participating in the ITA All-American Championships and WMU Invite.
-Lincoln Battle represented Cleveland State at the ITA All-American Championships for the second straight season, picking up a pair of wins against Arkansas and Memphis to advance to the third round of the Pre-Qualifying Draw.
Women's Tennis
-The Vikings will open their fall slate at the Horizon League Individual Championships this weekend, with action taking place Friday-Sunday in Youngstown, Ohio.
-This will mark the first of four tournaments for the Vikings this fall.
-Cleveland State returns just three players from last season's #HLTennis Regular Season Championship team, and will welcome five true freshmen.
