Ryleigh Alcala, Women's Soccer
Recorded her first collegiate goal and assist in the 3-0 shutout over Morehead State, finishing with a team-best three points on the day.
Isabella Caraballo, Women's Swim & Dive
Won both distance events in the season-opening tri-meet, picking up victories in the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle events.
Ryan Poling, Men's Soccer
Made four saves in the Horizon League opener at Milwaukee, notching his first shutout in a scoreless draw.
Brody Simms, Men's Golf
Claimed the individual title at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational after finishing at 10-under on the weekend, marking the first individual win for the Vikings since 2019.
 
Women's Soccer
-The Vikings open Horizon League play with consecutive road games at Detroit on Thursday and Oakland on Sunday.
-Cleveland State wrapped up non-league play with its second consecutive shutout of Morehead State, 3-0.
-Prior to the game on Sunday, the Green and White honored its 12 seniors.
-Ryleigh Alcala led the way with three points on her first collegiate goal and assist, while Elyse Broderick picked up her second straight shutout after making one save.
Men's Soccer
-Cleveland State plays its first home league game on Saturday, hosting Oakland.
-The Vikings earned a point in the #HLMSOC opener at Milwaukee as the game ended in a scoreless draw.
-Ryan Poling made four saves to earn his first shutout of the year.
Volleyball
-Cleveland State will close out non-league play with a pair of matches this week, hosting Kent State on Thursday and traveling to Akron on Friday.
-Last time out, the Vikings picked up their first win of the 2025 campaign, earning a 3-1 victory over Duke to close out the Wolfpack Invitational.
-Bryn VanVleet and Vayda Delventhal were both named to the Wolfpack Invite All-Tournament Team, VanVleet averaging 4.00 kills per set on the weekend and Delventhal averaging 5.09 digs per set throughout the three-day tournament.
Cross Country
-Cleveland State is back in action with the All-Ohio Classic on Friday.
-Ana Crangle will look for her third straight top-ten finish to start the year.
Men's Golf
-Cleveland State will continue its fall slate at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational hosted by Ball State this Saturday and Sunday.
-Last week, the Vikings recorded a pair of top-10 finishes as a team, including a third place showing at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate.
-Individually, Brody Simms was the top finisher at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, while he followed that up with a T-3 finish at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate along with teammate Dillon Pendergast.
Swimming & Diving
-The Vikings will have nearly a month off before competing in the two-day Akron Zips Classic starting on Saturday, Oct. 11.
-Both Cleveland State teams went 2-1 in the season-opening tri-meet with victories against Milwaukee and Green Bay.
-Jaden Davillier led the men with his first collegiate win in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:30.55.
-Isabella Caraballo won both distance events to lead the women's team, 500-yard freestyle (5:04.80) and 1000-yard freestyle (10:27.35).
-Ellie Seiter won 1-meter diving and was the runner-up in 3-meter.
Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will open its fall slate with a pair of tournaments this weekend, taking part in the ITA All-American Championships and the WMU Invite.
-This will mark the first two events of a six-tournament fall for the Vikings.
-Included in the fall lineup will be the annual Viking Invitational (October 24-26) and the second annual Horizon League Individual Championship (October 3-5).
