Viking of the Week Nominees
Ana Crangle, Track & Field
Set the program record in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:04.69.
Carl Gedlitschka, Men's Tennis
Picked up a pair of singles wins and a doubles win on the week, including a win at No. 4 singles in a 4-3 victory over Toledo.
Dayan Nessah, Men's Basketball
Averaged 21.0 points per game on the week, including a 26-point performance in the win over Youngstown State.
Izabella Zingaro, Women's Basketball
Averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds on the week while shooting 50-percent from the field in a pair of wins.


Women's Basketball
-The Vikings will hit the road for two games this week, traveling to Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday and Youngstown State on Sunday.
-Last time out, Cleveland State picked up a pair of wins against Detroit Mercy and RMU, improving to 15-5 overall this season.
-Through 20 games played, Izabella Zingaro ranks fifth in the nation with a .629 field goal percentage, while Jada Leonard ranks 15th among Division I players with 60 total steals.
Men's Basketball
-Cleveland State will have just one game this week, traveling to Wright State for a midweek contest on Wednesday.
-Last time out, the Vikings picked up an 80-78 victory over Youngstown State.
-Through 20 games played, the Vikings have had a balanced offense attack, with four players averaging double-digit points led by Dayan Nessah with 14.6 points per game.
Swim & Dive
-Cleveland State hosts the Cleveland City Classic on Saturday, featuring John Carroll and Baldwin Wallace.
-Following this meet, the Vikings have one final tune-up before the championship meet in February.
Fencing
-Cleveland State will return to action at the DeCicco Duals hosted by Notre Dame on Saturday.
-This will mark the first of two contests before the CCFC Championship in late February.
Track & Field
-The Vikings season continues on Saturday, at the Spire Midwest Open.
-Cleveland State is coming off the Al Campbell Invite, where the squad turned in four top-ten finishes.
-Ana Crangle set the program record in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:04.69.
-Zuriah Radeff-Koonce led the way in field events, placing ninth in shot put with a mark of 11.34.
Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will be back on the road for a pair of matches this weekend, traveling to DePaul on Friday and Northwestern on Saturday.
-Last time out, the Vikings went 2-1 over the opening weekend of the spring season, including wins over Toledo and Edinboro.
-Nico Jamison picked up his 50th career singles win, while Carl Gedlitschka moved into sole possession of 10th place on the CSU Singles Wins List.
Women's Tennis
-Cleveland State will continue its opening part of the 2026 spring schedule this weekend, traveling to Cincinnati on Friday.
-Last time out, the Vikings opened the spring campaign at Eastern Michigan, with freshman Leah Geisz picking up her first dual match singles win.
Lacrosse
- The Vikings play their lone exhibition game on Saturday, hosting John Caroll.
-Cleveland State will begin the 2026 campaign at Denver on Saturday, January 31.
