Viking of the Week
Tom Mertz, Men's Soccer
Scored the game-tying goal at Northern Kentucky to keep the Vikings unbeaten in Horizon League play.
 
Women's Soccer
-Cleveland State concludes its longest home stretch of the season on Saturday, hosting Milwaukee.
-The Vikings went 0-1-1 this past week, highlighted by a home draw against Youngstown State.
-Cortlyn Hefty scored her third league goal of the year in the contest against YSU.
Men's Soccer
-The Vikings start a three-game homestead with a non-league match on Tuesday against St. Bonaventure before hosting Wright State on Saturday.
-Cleveland State picked up its second league road tie on Saturday at Northern Kentucky, 1-1.
-Tom Mertz netted his first goal of the year, which was the tying goal in the 68th minute.
Volleyball
-Cleveland State will have a busy week of #HLVB play, traveling to Oakland on Tuesday before hosting Wright State on Friday and Saturday.
-Last time out, the Vikings opened Horizon League play with a weekend series at Northern Kentucky.
-Through 13 matches played, sophomore Vayda Delventhal ranks second in the league averaging 4.49 digs per set, while Julia Jozefov (5th – blocks), Bryn VanVleet (7th – kills) and Isabella Gibbons (7th – assists) rank in the top-10.
Cross Country
-Cleveland State returns to the course on Friday for the Joe Piane Invite.
-This meet will be the second 5K of the season for the Green and White.
Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State will return to action at the second annual Horizon League Individual Championship this weekend which will be hosted by Belmont.
-At the inaugural event last season, Lincoln Battle was the singles runner-up, while Battle and Carl Gedlitschka advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw.
-Lincoln Battle, Carl Gedlitschka, Cole Chappell, and Nico Jamison will compete in the Singles Draw for the Vikings, while the two doubles teams of Battle/Gedlitschka and Jamison/Chappell will be in the Doubles Bracket.
Women's Tennis
-The Vikings will take a week off from competition before hosting their annual Viking Invitational October 10-12.
-Last time out, Cleveland State opened the fall slate at the Horizon League Individual Championship, with the quartet of Melliz Petkova Mustafa, Anna Mancino, Jenna Redmile, and Laura Tapia advancing to the Round of 16 in the singles draw and the doubles team of Tapia/Petkova Mustafa advancing to the Quarterfinals of the doubles draw.
