Cleveland, OH-IHeartMedia Cleveland will once again serve as the official audio broadcast home of Cleveland State Athletics for the 2025-26 season. The partnership provides full coverage of all men's basketball regular season games as well as select women's basketball regular season games and all postseason contests for both teams. In addition, weekly coaches shows will provide fans an inside look at both programs throughout the season.
Sports Radio 99.1 FM will serve as the new flagship home of Viking Athletics. The station was launched earlier this year in partnership with ROCK Entertainment Group and will carry sports talk programming throughout the day in addition to live play-by-play for several local area teams. WTAM 1100 AM will continue to carry select games throughout the season. WTAM boasts one of the strongest signals in the Midwest and extended nighttime range allowing it to be heard throughout the east coast of the United States.
The Cleveland State Women's Basketball Radio Show returns in its normal time slot om Monday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. EST. Head women's basketball coach Chris Kielsmeier will appear on each broadcast to provide a look at the team's upcoming matchups throughout the season. Â Assistant coaches, student-athletes and Cleveland State athletics staff will also appear on the show each week.
The Rob Summers Radio Show makes its debut this season as the first-year head men's basketball coach will provide an up close look at the team throughout the season. The men's basketball show will remain in its normal time slot on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Both shows provide an opportunity for Viking fans and supporters to interact with student-athletes, coaches and athletics staff each week throughout the season.
Both shows will take place at Hail Mary's in Westlake on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28 to kick off the season. Locations for future shows will be announced at a later date.
