Viking of the Week Nominees
Troy Chapman, Golf
Led the Vikings with a T-45 finish at the Virtues Intercollegiate in his CSU debut.
Julia Jozefov, Volleyball
Named to the Lehigh Invite All-Tournament Team after averaging 2.11 kills per set on a .395 hitting percentage.
Domenic Ruggiero, Men's Soccer
Has now scored in each of his first two collegiate games after scoring against Mercyhurst last week.
 
 
Men's Soccer
-Cleveland State takes to the field twice this week, traveling to Canisius on Tuesday and hosting FAU on Saturday.
-The Vikings opened their home slate against Mercyhurst last week, with Domenic Ruggiero scoring his second straight goal to begin his career.  
Women's Soccer
-The Vikings will play a pair of road games this week, traveling to Akron on Thursday and St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
-Following this week's games, Cleveland State will have played five of its first six games on the road.
Volleyball
-The Vikings will stay on the road for the Mercyhurst Invitational Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5.
-Cleveland State will play Siena and Morehead State on Friday and host Mercyhurst on Saturday.
-Last time out, the Vikings went 2-1 at the Lehigh Invitational, with wins over Morgan State and Gardner-Webb.
-Julia Jozefov was named to the Lehigh Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Golf
-The Vikings will have two weeks off from competition before returning at the Miami (OH) Invite September 14-15 hosted in Pittsburgh, Pa.
-Last time out, Cleveland State finished 10^th as a team at the Virtues Intercollegiate.
-Troy Chapman made his CSU debut and paced the Vikings with a T-45 finish, while Gavin Leen finished T-51 and Dominik Cosic placed T-60.
Cross Country
-Cleveland State opens the 2026 season under new head coach Josh Poole on Friday at the Mike Baumer Classic hosted by Wright State.
-Natalie Keller will look to lead the Vikings this season after recording her second consecutive top-20 finish at the #HLXC Championship last year.
