Cleveland State Fencing Student-Athletes Earn CCFC All-Conference Recognition

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State fencing team landed four student-athletes on the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference All-Conference teams which were released this week.
 
Cleveland State had two honorees in men's epee as De'Mario Steele earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and Jesse Ndjeka was named to the honorable mention team.
 
Steele finished the regular season with 25 bout victories and qualified for NCAA Regionals. Ndjeka totaled 18 victories in the regular season and finished eighth at the regional tournament to qualify for the NCAA Championship for the second year in a row.
 
Maia Taylor Casamayor and Simon Caisse both earned honorable mention recognition as well. Caisse was named to the honorable mention squad in men's saber after finishing with a 38-34 record in the regular season and qualifying for regionals. Taylor Casamayor earned a spot on the women's epee honorable mention squad after accumulating 30 victories in the regular season and qualifying for regionals.
