CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the 2024-25 Wrestling Academic All-MAC Team on Tuesday, featuring 75 student-athletes from the conference's 13 teams.
The Vikings had ten athletes recognized, which was the second-most in the conference. Kent State led the way with 12 honorees, while Ohio and George Mason were tied for third with eight athletes.
Cleveland State has had double-digit recipients for three straight seasons. The ten honorees are the third most in program history. Two years ago, the Green and White had a program record of 13, and last year, the team brought in 11 honors.
Bucknavich and Manley were recognized for a fourth time while Aranda and Lyons became three-time honorees. Geiser earned this recognition on back-to-back years
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
