Bucknavich Competes at NCAA Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Cleveland State heavyweight, Daniel Bucknavich was eliminated on the first day of the 2025 NCAA Championships on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center.

No. 23 Bucknavich, a senior, was making his second straight appearance at the championships. In his first match of the day, he fell to No. 10 Dayton Pitzer of Pitt, 6-2. In the consolation round, Bucknavich was unable to overcome No. 26 Peter Ming of Stanford, 4-2, as he was eliminated from the championships.

Bucknavich concludes his career as a three-time MAC placer, two-time NCAA qualifier, and four-time All-Academic honoree. He ended his time with 78 career victories, seven major decision, one technical fall, and 23 falls.
