MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team returned to action Saturday, picking up a 4-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's and falling to West Virginia 4-2.
Oihane Vicario and
Tereze Vevere both went 2-0 in singles play on the day, Vicario at No. 1 singles and Vevere at No. 3 singles, with both now owning 78 career singles wins.
In addition to Vicario and Vevere,
Sima Heren also picked up a singles win against Mount St. Mary's, picking up a straight-set win at the No. 2 spot.
In doubles, Cleveland State picked up the early point against Mount St. Mary's, with Vevere and
Ella Franz notching a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles and
Jenna Redmile and
Filippa Frogner posting a 6-1 win at the No. 3 spot.
Cleveland State will return to the court next week, hosting Eastern Michigan on Friday, February 14 and traveling to Western Michigan on Sunday, February 16.
