Cleveland State Swimming & Diving Set for Horizon League Championships

The Starting Block

Cleveland State will be competing in its first #HLSD Championships under head coach Trent Richardson.
The four-day championship will start on Wednesday with men's 3M diving at 1 p.m. and finals along with the 200 medley and 800 free relays at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday through Saturday will feature prelims at 10 a.m., diving at 1 p.m., and finals at 5:30 p.m.

Team Finish Last Year

The men finished third with 525 points. Oakland won their 11th straight #HLSD Championship with 876.5 points and IUPUI came in second with 808 points.
The women placed fifth with 463.5 points. Oakland won their 11th straight #HLSD Championship with 909.5 points, Milwaukee was second with 690.5 points, and IUPUI was third with 527.5 points.

Chelf Looking to Repeat

Last season as a sophomore, Grace won the 50-yard freestyle after sprinting to the fifth fastest time in school history, 23.17.
In prelims, she put up the fourth fastest time in school history, 23.14.

Nester Looking to go Perfect

Jackson Nester put on a show as the junior won his third straight 400-yard IM championship with a time of 3:47.48, good for the second fast time in school history.
In prelims, Nester put up a program-record time of 3:47.35, earning the top seed in finals.
