Cleveland State Volleyball Hits The Road For Two-Match Series At YSU

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team will hit the road for the final time during regular season play this week, heading to Youngstown State for a two-match series on Thursday, November 6 and Friday, November 7.

This weekend's series at Youngstown State marks one of two remaining weekends during regular season play, as the Vikings will close out the 2025 regular season at home next weekend, hosting Milwaukee on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15.

Last time out, Laken Voss became just the seventh Viking all-time to eclipse 1,000 career kills and digs, marking her 1,000th career dig against IU Indy. Entering the weekend, Voss has 1,170 kills and 1,016 digs on her career. Voss, who currently ranks third in the CSU Career Record Book with 4,337 total attack attempts, is closing in on also earning a spot on the top-10 list for kills, as she needs just 29 more digs to be tied for 10th.

So far this season, Voss has led the Viking offense with 250 total kills on the year, while freshman Bryn VanVleet has added 229, with this duo accounting for 52-percent of Cleveland State's offense. Both Voss (13th-3.05) and VanVleet (14th-2.90) rank in the top-15 among Horizon League players in kills per set, while Voss is one of 12 #HLVB players with 250+ kills this season.

Defensively, Vayda Delventhal continues to be one of the top liberos in the league, entering Thursday's contest ranked fifth averaging 4.49 digs per set. So far this season Delventhal has tallied four 20-dig performances, including a career-high 25-dig effort against Oakland last week. Through 25 matches played, Delventhal has recorded double-digit digs in all but two contests.

JeriLynn Koehler enters the final two weeks of regular season play as Cleveland State's top blocker this season, owning 68 total blocks on the year. Earlier this season, Koehler tallied a career-high 11 blocks at Purdue Fort Wayne, and currently sits at 223 total blocks for her career.
