Viking Sports Weekly {January 6}

Men's Basketball
-Cleveland State will continue Horizon League play on the road this week, traveling to Robert Morris (Wednesday, January 8) and Youngstown State (Saturday, January 11).
-The Vikings enter the week on a six-game win streak, including a 67-61 victory over IU Indy last time out.
-Cleveland State is currently 4-1 in Horizon League play, tied for second in the #HLMBB standings.
-This week's contests mark the first road games for the Vikings since early December.
 
Women's Basketball
-Cleveland State will return home for a single game this week, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne on Sunday, January 12.
-The Vikings split their roadtrip last time out, including a 72-62 victory at Detroit Mercy.
-Entering Sunday's contest against the Mastodons, the Vikings have won 29 straight home games, a streak that ranks second among Division I teams.
-Cleveland State is currently 5-1 in Horizon League play, ranking second among #HLWBB teams.
 
Wrestling
-The Vikings will compete for the first time at the David H. Lehman '68 F&M Open this Friday.
-Last time out, the Vikings started MAC action against Ohio, getting four wins on the evening.
-Douglas Terry (157 lbs) and Tate Geiser (165 lbs) led the way with major decisions, while Ben Aranda (125 lbs) and Nick Molchak (133 lbs) picked up decisions.
-Terry now leads the Green & White with a perfect 3-0 mark in dual matches.
 
Swim & Dive
-The Vikings will open the second half of their season on Friday, hosting Calvin for Senior Day.
-Cleveland State will honor 14 student-athletes prior to the start of the meet.
-The Vikings were last in action back in November, when the men won the annual Magnus Cup Invite and the women placed fifth.
 
Viking Of The Week
Mickayla Perdue, Women's Basketball
Averaged 20.5 points per game on the week, including her 10th 20-point game of the season after posting 26 in the win at Detroit Mercy.
 
Tahj Staveskie, Men's Basketball
Posted a team-best 20 points against IU Indy, shooting 50-percent from the floor and 50-percent from three-point.
 
Doug Terry, Wrestling
Moved to 3-0 in dual matches this season after picking up an 11-2 major decision against Ohio last week.
