Cleveland State Women's Basketball Set For Sunday Contest At Detroit Mercy

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team will close out its current two-game roadswing on Sunday, traveling to Detroit Mercy for a 1:00 p.m. contest. Entering the matchup, the Vikings stand at 12-3 overall this season and 4-1 in Horizon League play, while the Titans are currently 10-2 on the year and 4-0 in #HLWBB play.

Sunday's game marks the fifth road game out of the last six contests for the Vikings, while it's the second of five games away from home for Cleveland State this month. So far this season, the Vikings stand at 6-3 when playing on the road, including a 1-1 mark in Horizon League play.

Through three+ weeks of league play, Detroit Mercy is tied at the top of the league standings, while the Vikings sit fourth heading into Sunday's game.

Cleveland State has been one of the most efficient offensive teams in the league this season, pacing all #HLWBB teams with a .483 field goal percentage and a +16.8 scoring margin. Individually, Jordana Reisma ranks second among Division I players with a .701 clip from the field on the year, including a 5-for-7 effort at Oakland last time out. Through 15 games played, Reisma is averaging 14.9 points per game as one of four Vikings to average double-digit points.

Joining Reisma on that list is Mickayla Perdue, who continues to lead the league averaging 20.1 points per game as the only player with 300+ points on the year (301).

A large part of Cleveland State's offense has come from its ability to share the ball, as the Vikings lead the league with 17.00 assists per game on the year, including 17 at Oakland last time out. Macey Fegan recorded a team-best six assists last time out, as she is now one of four Vikings with 30+ helpers on the year.

Defensively, the Vikings enter Sunday's contest as the top rebounding team in the league, averaging 39.9 rebounds per game, and have held the rebounding advantage 12 times this year, including last time out at Oakland. Individually, Sara Guerreiro is averaging a league-best 8.0 boards per game this year, combining for 120 rebounds through 15 games played.

Scouting The Titans
The Titans are currently on a four-game win streak, and own a perfect 7-0 record at home this season. Entering Sunday's game, the Titans rank third in the league averaging 67.8 points per game, while they rank fourth with a .417 field goal percentage. In addition, Detroit Mercy ranks second averaging 10.25 steals per game. Prior to the year beginning, the Titans were selected to finish eighth in the #HLWBB Preseason Poll.
