The Cleveland State women's basketball team will hit the road for a pair of games this week, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. EST contest at Green Bay on Thursday, January 30. Entering Thursday's matchup, the Vikings are 17-4 overall this season and 8-2 in Horizon League play, while the Phoenix stand at 17-5 on the year and 10-1 in #HLWBB action.

THE CLEVELAND STATE/GREEN BAY SERIES
Thursday's game will mark the 85th meeting between the two teams, with Green Bay owning a 73-11 advantage in the all-time series. Last season, the two teams split the regular season series, while Green Bay picked up a 64-40 victory over the Vikings in the championship game of the 2024 Horizon League Tournament.

VIKINGS IN #HLWBB PLAY
Cleveland State enters Thursday's contest with an 8-2 record in Horizon League play this season, currently sitting in third place in the #HLWBB standings. Entering the eighth week of league action, the Vikings are one of three teams with eight or more #HLWBB wins on the year.

REISMA RECORDS 100TH CAREER BLOCKED SHOT
With one blocked shot against Ohio Christian last time out,
Jordana Reisma recorded the 100th block of her career. Reisma, who has a team-best 23 blocked shots on the season, currently ranks sixth in the CSU Career Record Book with her 100 blocks. So far this season, Reisma has recorded at least one block in 13 games, including a season-high four against Bethune Cookman.

PERDUE RECORDS 1,000TH POINT AT CLEVELAND STATE
With 16 points against Youngstown State last week,
Mickayla Perdue recorded her 1,000th point at Cleveland State, reaching the milestone in just 55 games played. Perdue, who enters Thursday's contest at Green Bay leading the league averaging 20.1 points per game, has combined for 422 points on the season. Through 21 games played, Perdue has recorded 11 20-point performances, and currently ranks 15th nationally with her 422 total points on the year.

REISMA & GUERREIRO RECORD DOUBLE-DOUBLES AGAINST YSU
For the second time this season the Cleveland State duo of
Jordana Reisma and
Sara Guerreiro both notched double-doubles in the same contest, as Reisma finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds against YSU last week, while Guerreiro recorded 18 points and 12 boards in the win. This marked the fourth double-double on the season for both Vikings, as Reisma (15.4 ppg) and Guerreiro (10.6) are two of four Vikings to average double-digit points on the year.

…REISMA EFFICIENT FROM THE FIELD
Jordana Reisma continues to be one of the most efficient shooters among Division I players, entering Thursday's contest at Green Bay with a .694 field goal percentage on the year. Reisma, who currently ranks second among all Division I players in field goal percentage, is shooting 127-for-183 on the year, while she currently sits at the top of the CSU Career Record Book with a .598 clip (349-584) for her career.

…GUERREIRO AMONG #HLWBB LEADERS
Entering the week,
Sara Guerreiro continues to be one of the best all-around players in the Horizon League, ranking in the top-five in rebounding, assists and assist to turnover ratio. Guerreiro currently leads the league averaging 8.1 rebounds per game, while she ranks second with a 2.4 assist/turnover ratio and third averaging 4.6 assists per game. In addition, Guerreiro also ranks 20th averaging 10.6 points per game. Through 21 games played, Guerreiro leads the Vikings with 170 total boards and 97 total assists.

LEO CLOSING IN ON 1,800 CAREER POINTS
After combining for 13 points in last week's games against Youngstown State and Ohio Christian,
Destiny Leo now has 1,785 total points, and is closing in on becoming the fifth Viking all-time with 1,800 career points. Leo, who currently ranks fifth on the CSU Scoring List, needs just 15 more points to reach the milestone and would be the first Viking to do so since Shalonda Winton during the 2011-12 season. So far this year, Leo is averaging 10.9 points per game as one of four Vikings to average 10.0+ points per game.

CLEVELAND STATE ON THE BOARDS
The Vikings continue to be the top rebounding team in the league, averaging 39.1 boards per game through the first 21 games played. Cleveland State also holds a league-best +7.4 rebounding margin, and has outrebounded its opponent 17 times so far this year. The Vikings have combined for 821 rebounds on the season, including 613 defensive boards which is tops in the league.

Through 21 games played this season, the Vikings rank seventh nationally averaging 16.81 free throws made per game. For the season, Cleveland State has converted a league-best 353 free throws, including 20+ free throws during five games this year. As a team, the Vikings are shooting at a .767 clip from the free throw line on the year, with the trio of

As a team, Cleveland State has had one of the more efficient offenses this season, leading the Horizon League and ranking 10th among Division I teams with a .480 clip from the field on the year. The Vikings have shot 50-percent or better during eight games so far this season, including twice during #HLWBB play (at Wright State, at Detroit Mercy). Individually, four Vikings are shooting 45-percent or better from the field on the year;

VIKINGS ECLIPSE 100-POINT MARK…AGAIN
The Vikings recorded the 17th 100-point game in program history last time out, finishing with 107 points against Ohio Christian. This marked the second 100-point game of the season, and puts Cleveland State at 15-2 all-time when scoring 100+ points.

HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of seventh-year head coach
Chris Kielsmeier, who currently owns a career head coaching record of 558-179. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 142-63, with his 100th victory as a Viking coming in a 95-41 decision over Chicago State last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted four 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.
