CANCUN, Mexico – The Cleveland State women's tennis team opened its fall campaign Wednesday, going 4-2 in singles play on the first day of the Princess Hotels College Cup.
Freshman
Jenna Redmile picked up the first win of her collegiate career Wednesday, picking up a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(7) come-from-behind win against Aitana Darder.
Tereze Vevere (6-4, 6-2) and
Filippa Frogner (7-5, 6-2) both picked up straight-set wins in their respective matches, while
Ella Franz posted a 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(5) victory for the team's fourth win of the day.
Play at the Princess Hotels College Cup will continue with a round of singles and doubles tomorrow.
