Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Non-League Schedule

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's basketball head coach Chris Kielsmeier has announced the non-league schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign, featuring an 11-game slate in addition to the 20-game Horizon League schedule that was announced earlier this month.

The Vikings enter the 2024-25 campaign coming off three straight 20-win seasons, most recently posting a 29-6 record last year which included a perfect 17-0 record at home.

Through 11 non-league games, Cleveland State will face a trio of 20-win teams and four postseason squads from last year.

Cleveland State will open the season at Ohio State (Tuesday, November 5), a team that finished last season with a 26-6 record and was ranked in the Top-25.

The Vikings will then travel to Chicago State (Saturday, November 9) before hosting Bowling Green on Tuesday, November 12 in the 2024-25 home opener.

Cleveland State will return to the road for a pair of games at Akron (Saturday, November 16) and Niagara (Wednesday, November 20), before returning home to host Ohio Dominican on Saturday, November 23 as part of the Cleveland State University Homecoming festivities.

Next up for the Vikings will be a trip south to New Orleans for the Big Easy Classic, where Cleveland State will face Louisiana (Friday, November 29) and Lamar (Saturday, November 30) to close out the month of November.

Following a brief two-game Horizon League series to open December, the Vikings will return to non-league play by hosting Bethune Cookman inside Woodling Gymnasium on Friday, December 13.

Cleveland State will then close out non-league play with a two-game series in Puerto Rico, facing Morgan State on Thursday, December 19 and University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez on Saturday, December 21.

Fans will also be able to enjoy specialty ticket options throughout the season, including Hoop Diggity Dog and Dress Like A Vike for specific games.

Hoop Diggity Dog – For just $15 per person, fans can get a lower-level game ticket along with a concession voucher for a hot dog, popcorn and fountain drink. Available for the following games:
