CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings (0-2) fell to Purdue (5-1) 35-9 in the FloWrestling Night in America Match on Wednesday evening. Cleveland State will be off for the holidays before heading to Ohio on Friday, January 3, for the MAC opener at 7 p.m.
Purdue claimed the first four matches with two technical falls, a major decision, and a fall to lead 20-0.
Douglas Terry got the Green and White on the board with a 6-0 shutout at 157-pounds to trail 20-3. The Boilermakers answered back with consecutive technical falls to make it 30-3.
JR Reed pulled out a tough 4-3 decision at 184-pounds, but Purdue used its fifth technical fall at 197-pounds to lead 35-6.

Daniel Bucknavich capped off the evening with a 6-1 victory at 285-pounds as the Vikings fell in the match, 35-9.
