CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued its strong play at the Viking Invitational Saturday, picking up five singles wins and four doubles victories.
In doubles,
Tereze Vevere and
Ella Franz went 2-0 on the day with wins over Youngstown State and Duquesne, while
Sima Heren and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa also picked up two wins on the day against YSU and Duquesne.
After going 4-0 in doubles on the weekend, Vevere and Franz claimed the Viking Invitational Doubles Title.
In singles, Heren, Vevere, Franz, and
Filippa Frogner all picked up wins to remain perfect on the weekend, while
Jenna Redmile earned her first singles win of the Viking Invitational. All five singles wins came against Duquesne for the Vikings.
Action at the Viking Invitational will conclude tomorrow, with one round of singles play.
