Cleveland, OH-Cleveland State Athletics is excited to announce promotional plans for the upcoming home men's basketball season at the Wolstein Center in addition to the launch of single game ticket sales. The department also announced all game times for the 2023-24 home schedule.
Single-game tickets are on sale with prices for most games starting at $12, with the exhibition opener against Baldwin Wallace available for just $6. Pricing information for the Viking Invitational hosted at Woodling Gymnasium will be available soon.
Hoopy Hour returns this season, featuring 2-1-6 pricing at the concession stands for all weeknight home games. Fans can purchase a combo food and beverage package for $6, in addition to $2 beers and $1 popcorn available for purchase prior to tip-off.
New this year is Downtown Deals, an all-you-can-eat and drink package that includes a lower-level game ticket and unlimited food and beverage. This package is on sale for $35 and is available for select weeknight home games.
Fans can also participate in the "Dress Like a Viking" promotion presented by Dave and Busters. This group ticket package features a game ticket and replica jersey and is available for all games beginning with Ohio University on November 11. In addition, the in-state matchup against Ohio University will be the homecoming game in collaboration with the CSU Alumni Association. Fans can purchase tickets for a special Homecoming package at this link which includes a pre-game reception as well as a lower-level game ticket.
The Horizon League home opener against Detroit Mercy on December 2nd is one of six Family Value Weekends, where fans can purchase the "Hoop Diggity Dog" package that includes a lower-level game ticket and a concession stand voucher for a hot dog, popcorn and soda for just $15. There will be a limited number of packages available for each game.
In addition, young Viking fans will have an opportunity to host their birthday party at the Wolstein Center for any weekend home game starting in December. The $100 package includes ten game tickets with the ability to add on a concession voucher. The child celebrating their birthday will receive a special gift and all kids 12 and under will have the opportunity to participate in the pre-game Kids Tunnel during player introductions.
The January 7th game, a rematch of last year's Horizon League Championship against Northern Kentucky, will also feature a special ticket package. Fans can purchase two tickets to the NKU game and receive a Norris Cole bobblehead. Cole was recently inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame this summer after a standout career at CSU and in the NBA. Bobbleheads will be available while supplies last.
On January 25th when the Vikings play host to Wright State, Cleveland State Faculty and Staff can take advantage of a special ticket offer. Tickets will be available for $3.46 as part of the Academic Honors Celebration which will take place at halftime of the game. The commemorative ticket price honors the 2022-23 cumulative GPA of Cleveland State student-athletes, who achieved a mark above a 3.0 for the 34th consecutive semester.
Green Bay comes to town on February 28th for a midweek matchup which will also provide an opportunity for Faculty and Staff to enjoy the game as part of the annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. The event will feature the "Challenge of the Deans" contest with students challenging the deans of Cleveland State's eight academic colleges to a free throw competition, with a prize going to the winning college.
The home finale against IUPUI will be Senior Day, as we celebrate the Vikings' senior class prior to the contest. The game is also one of three double headers with the Cleveland State women's basketball team, where fans can see both teams in action for one low price.
Fans have a variety of options to purchase tickets. Tickets are available online, by calling the ticket office at 216-687-4848 or by visiting the Wolstein Center Box Office only on game days beginning four hours before tip off.
