The Cleveland State men's fencing team went 4-1 and the women's team went 5-0 in the CSU Duals on Saturday. Both squads defeated Wisconsin twice, Michigan, and Denison while the women defeated the Case Western Reserve.

Round 1 - Cleveland State vs. Wisconsin 

The men defeated Wisconsin 27-0. The score in sabre was 9-0, 9-0 in foil, and 9-0 in epee.

• Jude Eaves, Travis Kroggel, and Eric Hamdan all went 3-0 in sabre to lead the way
• John Wenger, Will Walters, and Conner Sheperd all went 3-0 in foil to lead the way.
• De'Mario Steele went 3-0 in epee to lead the way.

The women defeated Wisconsin 22-5. The score in sabre was 6-3, 8-1 in foil, and 8-1 in epee.

• Ilyssa Freiburger and Dorian Pichola each went 3-0 in sabre to lead the way
• Gabriella Hirsch and Shelbie Seeberg both went 3-0 in foil to lead the way.
• Lily Robertson went 3-0 in epee to lead the way.

Round 2 – Cleveland State vs. Case Western Reserve

The men lost to Case Western Reserve 14-13. The score in sabre was 3-6, 7-2 in foil, and 3-6 in epee.

• Eaves, Hamdan, and Mason Moskowitz each won once in sabre.
• Wenger went 3-0 in foil.
• Weymouth Walker, Steele, and Merik Pohl each won once in epee.

The women defeated Case Western Reserve, 21-3. The score in sabre was 6-0, 9-0 in foil, and 6-3 in epee.

• Pichola and Ilyssa Freiburger each went 3-0 in sabre.
• Hirsch, Seeberg, and Claire Maltman all went 3-0 in foil.
• Karina Grossl and Robertson each went 3-0 in epee.

Round 3 – Cleveland State vs. Michigan

The men defeated Michigan 17-10. The score in sabre was 6-3, 7-2 in foil, and 4-5 in epee.

• Eaves, Moskowitz, and Dante Centuori each went 2-1 in sabre.
• Wenger went 3-0 in foil.
• Merik Pohl and Steele each went 2-1 in epee.

The women defeated Michigan 18-9. The score in sabre was 6-3 3-6 in foil, and 9-0 in epee.

• Freiburger and Pichola each went 3-0 in sabre.
• Seeberg, Hirsch, and Maltman each won once in foil.
• Robertson, Grossl, and Kozak each went 3-0 in epee.

Round 4 – Cleveland State vs. Denison

The men defeated Denison 22-5. The score in sabre was 6-3, 8-1 in foil, and 8-1 in epee.

• Hamdan went 3-0 in sabre.
• Wenger and Water went 3-0 in foil to lead the way.
• Hackmen went 3-0 in epee.

The women defeated Denison 16-11. The score in sabre was 4-5, 5-4 in foil, and 7-2 in epee.

• Pichola and Freiburger each won twice in sabre.
• Seeberg went 3-0 in foil to lead the way.
• Grossl and Robertson each went 3-0 in epee.

Round 5 – Cleveland State vs. Wisconsin

The men defeated Wisconsin 22-5. The score in sabre was 7-2, 7-2 in foil, and 8-1 in epee.
