CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued play at the Viking Invitational Saturday, picking up five singles wins and four doubles victories.

Sima Heren and Bethany Yauch both picked up singles wins Saturday, improving to a team-best 4-1 on the season. Heren posted a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Milwaukee, while Yauch picked up a 7-5, 6-0 win against the Panthers.

Selma Tounsi and Tereze Vevere also picked up straight set wins on Saturday, Tounsi with a 6-0, 7-5 decision against Milwaukee and Vevere with a 6-0, 6-2 win against Duquesne.

Cleveland State's final singles win on the day came from Filippa Frogner, as she picked up a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(8) win against the Panthers.

In doubles play, the Vikings picked up wins in four of their six matches on the day, including a pair of 6-2 victories against Duquesne from Heren/Tounsi and Vevere/Oihane Vicario. Yauch/Frogner also picked up a 7-6(2) win against Duquesne, while Yauch/Tounsi posted a 6-4 victory against Youngstown State.

Play at the Viking Invitational will conclude tomorrow (Sunday, October 17), with one round of singles.
