Vikings Begin Play At ITA Regional

UPDATED QUALIFYING SINGLES DRAW

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team opened play at the 2014 ITA Midwest Regional Thursday, with Jana Schober, Mathilde Orange, and Victoria Bensimon playing in the qualifying singles draw.

Bensimon, who was an alternate for the qualifying draw, picked up a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Marcy Huck of IPFW.

Schober and Orange both fell in their opening round matches – Shober in a 6-1, 6-4 contest against Marquette's Ali Dawson, and Orange in a 6-4, 6-0 match against Lexi Baylis of Michigan State.

Action at the ITA Regional will continue tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 17) with the first round of the doubles main draw.
