PARIS, France – Happy Wednesday back in the states!! And
nobody is happier here today than our academic advisor Lisa Hehman
because she is now engaged!
That's right, her boyfriend, Kevin, popped the question at the
Eiffel Tower when we were on our bus tour this morning. And of
course, she said yes so many congrats to them!!
Today has been quite an experience in Paris. There is so much to
see and do and I feel like we were able to see a lot of what the
city has to offer on our three hour bus tour with our tour guide
Ann Marie. And many thanks to our bus driver, Charles, who had to
navigate that bus around the city. Not an easy task.
As I said yesterday, we are staying in what we would consider
downtown Paris. Today's tour took us around the city and we were
able to see the Louvre, Notre Dame, City Hall, Parliament, the Arc
de Triomphe, Versailles Palace, the Musee D'orsay, the Opera house,
the Place de la Bastille, the Thinker sculpture, the Eiffel
Tower.
There are close to 100 photos in today's gallery from the tour.
We were able to get out and take pictures at the Arc de Triomphe
and the Eiffel Tower. Everything else was from the bus. It truly is
amazing how much there is to see here in Paris.
The players really enjoyed the Eiffel Tower and were approached
by several groups of people and kids to take pictures with them.
It's obvious they are basketball players and the little kids love
getting to stand next to the tall players.
It's off to pre-game meal and then it's back on the court for
the fourth time in Europe tonight when CSU plays Tremblay. The game
has been pushed up one hour to a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
