CLEVELAND, Ohio - Three Vikings scored in double-digits Thursday evening, but that would not be enough as the Cleveland State women's basketball team fell to Wright State, 64-54. CSU is now 8-11 on the season and 3-5 in the Horizon League, while the Raiders are now 13-7 overall and 6-2 in league action.

The Vikings were led by Shalonda Winton, who tallied 15 points and eight rebounds, while Cori Coleman added 14 points and six rebounds and Takima Keane added 11 points, five assists and three steals.

Behind seven points from both Keane and Winton during the first 20 minutes of action, the Vikings held a 26-23 lead at the half. Wright State opened the second half on a 10-0 run though, as they gained an eight-point lead at 34-26.

Over the next 37 seconds, Coleman posted six straight points for the Vikings including her first three-pointer of the game to bring CSU within two points at 34-32. Back-to-back three's for the Raiders extended their lead to 40-32 at the 14:53 mark, and Wright State would hold at least a three-point lead for the remainder of the contest.

The Vikings posted multiple runs throughout the final 10 minutes, including a 6-0 run at the 8:21 mark that closed the gap to four at 47-43. After Wright State gained an eight-point lead at the 7:35 mark, the Vikings tallied five straight points on a Keane layup, Janelle Adams jumper and a Coleman free-throw to come within three-points.

That would be as close as the Vikings would get though, as the Raiders closed the contest on a 13-6 run, earning the 64-54 victory.

The Raiders were led by Molly Fox, who tallied 24 points while Kim Demmings added 13. Wright State shot 43-percent from the floor (22-51) during the contest, while they held the Vikings to a .311 clip from the field (19-61). The Raiders won the battle of the boards, posting 45, while CSU recorded 34.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday (Jan. 28) when they host Detroit in a 2:00 p.m. contest. Tickets for Saturday's contest are just $1, as the Vikings are trying to Pack The House.
