ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The women's tennis team concluded its play at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship on Friday, Oct. 22. Catrine Bjerrehus and Nicole Janek picked up a doubles win for the Vikings, beating Amy Allin and Annie McCarthy of Illinois (8-5) in consolation play.

"We only won the one match today, but we played some good tennis," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We picked up a win over a Big Ten team and got our combinations set for the season. Although we would have liked to have continued playing tomorrow, we did play some good tennis today and I'm proud of the team."

The Vikings are done for the semester. Their next match will be against Ohio State on Jan. 23.
