Cleveland State head coach Kate Peterson: "I felt that we did a good job of taking what we worked on in practice and applying it on the floor. UConn is more athletic than us at every position, but we battled the entire time.

"I asked them to give me everything they had in these last four games. We are tired. But I think this game has given them new expectations for themselves."

Cleveland State guard Omega Harrington: "We came in with a lot of confidence and that didn't change when we saw their jerseys. We just came out and played our game. They are an athletic team and we tried our best to battle them."

Cleveland State guard Erin Martin: "We knew about this game coming in and we got excited for it. As it came closer to playing, I think you have to look at them and think of them as the same as you, in a sense.

"We saw glimpses where we really clicked as a team. If we can put it together like that, we can do some great things as a team this year."

There were long stretches where we looked like we hadn't played together for a while, but there were other stretches where we were playing well."
