2011-12 - FRESHMAN SEASON

Won three matches at 184 pounds…two of his wins came at the George Mason Patriot Duals (Jan. 14)…won on a 5-2 decision against his opponent from Davidson and knocked off his opponent from George Mason, 6-2…picked up a win at the Cleveland State Open (Dec. 18)…earned a win via decision at the Ashland Open (Jan. 7)…went 3-2 at the National Collegiate Open (Feb. 26), defeating his opponent from The Citadel on a 10-2 major decision. 

HIGH SCHOOL

Placed fourth in the state at 189 pounds as a senior to help Jonathan Adler High School score 25 points and place 19th in Division II…also placed fourth in 2010 as his team placed 45th…went 40-0 in the regular season as a senior and earned recognition from the Brakeman Report which ranked him second in the state heading into the OHSAA Tournament.

PERSONAL

Born January 28, 1992 in Plain City, Ohio…son of Robert and Mari Blankenship…has three sisters, Ame, Andrea and Deidra…intends to major in public safety.
