NASHPORT, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team closed out its first weekend of play during the 2026 fall season Sunday, placing 10
th as a team at the Virtues Intercollegiate.
Individually,
Troy Chapman notched the Vikings' top finish, placing T-45 with rounds of 75-74-76.
Gavin Leen finished close behind at T-51 with rounds of 77-78-71, while
Dominik Cosic was T-60 after posting scores of 79-76-74.
During the final round, Leen posted Cleveland State's top score, as he notched a one-under par 71, which included seven birdies. Leen, who started the round on the 12
th hole, tallied six of his birdies on the front nine.
Cosic also notched his best round of the weekend on Sunday, posting five birdies on the front nine to finish with a two-over par 74.

Cameron Stafford (2),
Jackson Sommer (2), and
Dillon Pendergast (4) also recorded multiple birdies on the final day, giving the Vikings a total of 22 during the third round.
The Vikings will have two weeks off from competition, returning to play at the Miami (OH) Invite hosted in Pittsburgh, Pa. September 14-15.
