CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State (10-20, 6-13) dropped its regular-season home finale to Northern Kentucky (18-12, 10-9) 81-70 on Wednesday evening.
Preist Ryan collected his second double-double of the year with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and ten rebounds.
Tre Beard contributed 14 points, followed by
Chevalier Emery and
Jaidon Lipscomb with 12 points apiece.
Josiah Harris dished out five assists, and Beard had two steals.
Cleveland State won the battle of the benches 34-13 and in the paint, 38-32.
Northern Kentucky led the entire first half, taking a 42-24 advantage into the locker room. Beard paced the Vikings in the half with nine points on three of four shooting.
The Green and White outscored the Norse in the second half 46-39 before falling in the regular-season home finale, 81-70.
The Vikings conclude the regular season on Saturday, February 28, at Robert Morris with a 2 p.m. tip.
