MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Cleveland State (10-21, 6-14) dropped its regular-season finale at Robert Morris (21-10, 13-7) 83-64 on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings will host the Play-In game of the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. against IU Indy in the Wolstein Center.
The Vikings used all 13 players in the finale, with 12 of them getting into the scoring column, led by eleven points from
Chevalier Emery.
Tre Beard dished out a team-best five assists, and
Josiah Harris led the way on the glass with five rebounds.
Robert Morris held a 12-5 advantage when an Emery jumper sparked a 14-0 run capped off by a
Kamari Jones three-pointer to lead for the first time, 19-12, with 10:57 remaining in the first half.
The Vikings pushed the margin to the largest of the half, 29-18, on a
Manny Hill three-pointer with 7:22 to go in the half. RMU responded with a 12-1 spurt to even the game at 30-30 at the 4:15 mark.
Foster Wonders then connected from deep to put the Green and White back in front and remained there until the Colonials hit a jumper with three seconds left, tying the game at halftime, 39-39.
The Green and White led five of the first six minutes in the second half despite four lead changes and two ties. After Beard knocked down a three-pointer to lead, 54-50, at the 14:15 mark, Robert Morris used a 23-2 run to lead 73-56 with 5:54 left in regulation and went on to win the finale, 83-64.
