CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team picked up its fourth straight victory Thursday, notching a 74-45 victory over IU Indy. With the win, the Vikings are now 21-8 overall this season and 11-7 in #HLWBB play.

The Game
Cleveland State got out to a hot start, opening the contest with a 16-0 lead, holding IU Indy off the scoreboard for the first 5:53 of the contest.
Macey Fegan got the Vikings on the board on Cleveland State's first offensive possession, while an
Izabella Zingaro layup gave the Vikings a double-digit lead at 10-0 less than four minutes into the frame. A pair of
Colbi Maples free throws then gave the Vikings their 16-0 lead midway through the quarter, while an 8-0 run to close out the frame gave Cleveland State decisive 24-5 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play.
The two teams then played an even second quarter, with Cleveland State taking a 34-15 edge into the halftime break.
After trading baskets with the Jaguars over the first few possessions of the third quarter, a
Laurel Rockwood offensive rebound and put-back regained a 20-point lead for the Vikings at 41-21 less than four minutes into the frame. The Vikings went on to hold a 20-point lead for the majority of the frame then, including extending the lead to 51-26 following an
Ayisse Magassa and-one, before taking a 53-29 edge into the final 10 minutes of play.
Cleveland State carried its momentum into the fourth quarter, with an
Ella Van Weelden three-pointer midway through the frame extending the Vikings' lead to 63-36. A few plays later, a Magassa layup followed by a
Paula Pique basket gave Cleveland State its largest lead of the contest at 70-41 with exactly 2:00 left to play.
The Vikings then closed out the contest with a pair of baskets from Magassa, pulling away with the decisive 74-45 victory.
