CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team returned home and got back in the win column Wednesday, picking up a 66-46 victory over Milwaukee.

Game Stats
-Four Vikings finished with double-digit points, paced by Colbi Maples with 20. Jada Leonard added 14, Macey Fegan tallied 12 and Izabella Zingaro chipped in 11.
-Izabella Zingaro grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds.
-The Vikings recorded 18 assists on 25 made field goals, including six from Colbi Maples.
-Cleveland State forced Milwaukee into 17 turnovers, turning these miscues into 20 points.

-Colbi Maples recorded her fifth 20-point game of the season after finishing right on the number against Milwaukee.
-With 11 points and 11 rebounds Izabella Zingaro notched her third double-double of the season.
-Cleveland State grabbed 40 rebounds as a team, marking the eighth 40-board game of the season.
-The Vikings' 18 assists marked the ninth 15+ assist game of the year for CSU.

The Game
After trading baskets to begin the contest, the Vikings went on a 16-0 run over the final 6:26 of the opening quarter, gaining a sizable 19-5 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.

This run was kick-started by a Macey Fegan offensive rebound and put-back that knotted the score at 5-5, before back-to-back baskets from Jada Leonard and Izabella Zingaro on the next two possessions put the Vikings in front at 9-5.

After the Cleveland State defense held the Panthers off the board for the rest of the quarter, four straight points from Colbi Maples over the final possessions of the opening frame sent the Vikings into the second quarter with a 14-point advantage.

During the second quarter the two teams once again traded baskets over the opening minutes, until the Vikings went on a 13-0 run over the final 2:45, extending their lead to 36-13 at the halftime break. During this stretch, the Vikings got six points off of a pair of three-pointers from Leonard and Hurley.

After sustaining their lead during the third quarter, the Vikings opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer from Maples, while a trio of points from Leonard over the next two possessions put Cleveland State up 58-31 less than one minute into the frame.

The Vikings then maintained control throughout the final quarter, pulling away with the 66-46 victory.
