FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Cleveland State finished third at the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday afternoon. The Green and White had three personal best times on the day.
Trine took first place in the team standings, with Purdue Fort Wayne in second and the Green and White in third. Riley Tate of PFW won the 5K after crossing in 17:54.5.
"Today we did a much better job of keeping our third through seventh runners in a close pack, with only 16 seconds separating them," said coach
Jason Hudson. "Now we just need to run the second part of the race more aggressively. Overall I'm happy with where we are at this point early in the season."
