ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Vikings (3-3-3, 0-0-2) picked up their second straight league draw, 1-1, on Sunday at Oakland (1-6-3, 0-1-1).
The first half went scoreless, with Oakland holding a 9-2 advantage in shots.
The Golden Grizzlies opened the scoring in the 63rd minute when Mallory Anderson finished off a cross from Isabella Bierod and Rose Gevanthor.
However, the Green and White equalized just three minutes later when the goalkeeper was unable to control the ball, and
Tanji Sarver finished it off.
Oakland held a 13-10 advantage in shots, but the Vikings led in shots on goal 5-2.
Sarver led the offense with four shots, including one on target.
Mayra Sesmas had two shots, both of which were on target.
Elyse Broderick recorded one save in goal.
Cleveland State will have its longest homestand of the year with three consecutive games on Krenzler Field beginning with Youngstown on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m.
