AKRON, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team closed out the non-league portion of its schedule Friday, dropping a 3-0 match at Akron.

Laken Voss recorded 12 kills for the Vikings, while Bryn VanVleet added six.

Isabella Gibbons finished with 21 assists on the day.

Cleveland State's defense was paced by Vayda Delventhal with eight digs, while Gibbons added five.

Julia Jozefov recorded six total blocks on the day, while Chloe List added five.

The Vikings will open Horizon League play on the road next week, traveling to Northern Kentucky on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27.
