WOOSTER, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team started the 2025 season Friday evening, racing at the Wooster Invitational hosted by Wooster University. The 4K race was comprised of five other schools with 63 runners.
Ella McCollom of Kent State won the meet with a time of 15:12.7, and Jillian White of Baldwin Wallace was the runner-up with a time of 15:20.9.
Ana Crangle paced the Vikings in the opening meet with a third-place finish, crossing the finish line in 15:27.6.

Jason Hudson said, "Today was a great way to start our season. The goal was to run in packs since that is how we train and that is how we will be successful as a team. We had lots of personal records today, which is a great sign as we continue our season. I am very proud of the team and how they responded to racing on the toughest course in Ohio."
Natalie Keller came in seventh after finishing in 15:48.8, and
Deena Ingrassia was 13th after crossing in 16:12.8.
Sage Colon (16:24.8) was 18th,
Madison McGarrah (16:33.0) came in 20th, and
Kayla Crissman (16:36.6) was a spot back.
Tara Will (16:37.7) was 23rd,
Annabelle Crissman came in 35th (17:16.1),
Sophie Ngetich was 38th (17:26.1), and
Sophia Pomnean came in a spot back (17:28.1).
Madeline Crissman (17:36.5) was 42nd, and
Aubrey Evans (17:45.2) was 45th.
Cleveland State will compete in the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday, Sept. 6.
