LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Cleveland State volleyball team opened the 2025 campaign Friday, dropping a 3-0 match against Colorado as part of the Rumble in the Rockies hosted by Wyoming.
Four Vikings made their debuts on Friday, including freshman
Bryn VanVleet who tallied a team-best nine kills. In addition,
Chloe List added five kills and
JeriLynn Koehler and
Julia Jozefov both tallied four.
Allison Salazar captained the Viking offense with 18 assists and was making her collegiate debut after sitting out the 2024 campaign, while freshman
Isabella Gibbons finished with five assists in her collegiate debut.
Playing as the libero for the first time in her collegiate career,
Vayda Delventhal recorded a team-high 17 digs on the match, while
Laken Voss added eight and freshman
Madisyn Green recorded seven in the first match of her collegiate career.
Cleveland State will continue play in the Rumble in the Rockies tomorrow, facing the host Cowgirls in an 8:30 p.m. (EST) match.
