INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League released the 2025 #HLSD Specialty Awards on Wednesday, with
Reagan St. Clair being named the Sportsmanship winner. This is the second straight year that a Viking has claimed this award, as
Brooke Eichel won it a season ago.
St. Clair, a senior from Canton, Ohio, could not compete this season due to an injury. Despite this setback, she still attended the championship in a team manager capacity.
Before the start of the event, Coach Richardson had a conversation with her on how she could make an impact on the team while taking tremendous pride in what she was doing. She supported the team in encouragement, cheering, and as a strong emotional support person during any tough times.
Multiple times throughout the meet, she was also supporting competitors from other teams as if they were her teammates. Coach Richardson felt that her actions demonstrated a high standard of sportsmanship.
In a situation where she could have been down on herself for not being able to compete, she found the positives and strived for four days.
