ASHLAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team was back in action at the Ashland Alumni Open this weekend, posting a strong showing during the two-day event.

In sprint events, Jillian McArdle posted Cleveland State's top finish, placing sixth overall in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:08.59. In addition, Madison Morris also tallied a top-10 finish in the 200 Meter Dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 26.24.

Natalie Keller paced the Vikings in distance events, placing third in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 18:08.80, while Ana Crangle placed fourth in the 1500 Meter Run with a time of 4:48.66.

In field events, Drew Patterson posted a team-best third place finish in the High Jump with a mark of 1.63, while Grace Frye (13.70) and Zuriah Radeff-Koonce (4.97) both recorded sixth place finishes in the Shot Put and Long Jump, respectively. Madison Luthy placed seventh in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.97, while Lily Tomasheski placed 10^th in the Javelin (31.85), capping off 10 individual top-10 finishes for the Vikings on the day.

Cleveland State will be back in action at the Jesse Owens Invite next weekend.
