Cleveland, OH-For the sixth time this season,
Je'Shawn Stevenson has earned the Horizon League Freshman of the Week Award.
The league announced today its final set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 season. Stevenson earns the honor after scoring in double figures in each of Cleveland State's final two regular season games to help the Vikings earn the no. 2 seed in next week's Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship.
Stevenson averaged 13 points and two rebounds per game last week. He shot 75 percent from the field and 66 percent from three-point range combined for the week. He connected on all four of his attempts from the free throw line and added five total steals to his stat line.
Stevenson finished with 12 points in Thursday's game at Wright State and added 14 more on Saturday in the regular season finale against Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Vikings enter postseason play this week and will host a Quarterfinal game at the Wolstein Center on Thursday, March 6. The game will be a doubleheader with the women's basketball team, with the women's game tipping first at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for both games will be $10. Click
