FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Cleveland State track & field team opened the 2025 Horizon League Indoor Championships Saturday, recording four podium finishes.

Jason Hudson said. "Grace is a technician in the ring, brining home our first all-conference honor, while Madison continues to amaze me with her performances. We are looking forward to what's ahead for day two tomorrow!"
In field events, the Vikings were paced by
Grace Frye, who finished third overall in the Weight Throw with a mark of 16.94. In addition,
Jaylynn King also notched a podium finish, placing sixth with a mark of 16.03.
Madison Luthy led the Vikings in multi-events, placing fourth overall in the Pentathlon with a program-record 3534 points.
Zuriah Radeff-Koonce also represented the Vikings in the Pentathlon, finishing eighth with 3267 points. Luthy won the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:22.71, while Radeff-Koonce had a mark of 12.63 to win the Shot Put.
Tilly Nasende paced the Vikings in sprint events on Saturday, qualifying for the 400 Meter Dash finals with a time of 58.56 in the prelims.
Action at the #HLTF Indoor Championships will conclude tomorrow, with field events beginning at 9:00 a.m. and running events slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
