CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will be back in action with just one match this weekend, traveling to Buffalo for a 1:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, March 1.
Saturday's contest will mark the first of four straight road matches for the Vikings, while it will also be the first of four final non-league matchups for Cleveland State.
Last week,
Tereze Vevere became the all-time singles wins leader at Cleveland State, going 2-0 at No. 2 singles to finish the week with 80 career singles wins.
In addition,
Sima Heren also went 2-0 on the week, moving into fourth place on the CSU Singles Wins List with 76 career victories.
Earlier this week the Vikings swept the Horizon League weekly awards, with Heren earning Singles Player of the Week and Heren/Vevere picking up Doubles Team of the Week honors.
Looking ahead, the next time Cleveland State plays in the MMTP will be late March, when the Vikings host Youngstown State on Saturday, March 29.
