The Game
After Cleveland State earned a 17-13 lead after the first 10 minutes of play, the two teams traded baskets over the first few possessions of the second frame, until a 6-0 run from the Vikings extended their lead to 25-18 on a Macey Fegan layup with just under six minutes left to play in the quarter.

A pair of Izabella Zingaro free throws and a Fegan layup then extended Cleveland State's lead to double-digits with 3:46 left on the clock, before a Jada Leonard basket over the final seconds of the frame sent the Vikings into the halftime break up by 12 at 36-24.

The Vikings quickly added to their lead over the opening minute of the third quarter, as a Zingaro layup off of an Oakland turnover put the score at 39-24 less than one minute into the frame. Cleveland State was able to hold a double-digit lead throughout the rest of the quarter, taking a 50-40 advantage into the final 10 minutes of play.

Although Oakland was able to trim the lead to single digits over the first part of the fourth quarter, the Vikings responded with nine straight points, regaining a sizeable lead midway through the frame, putting the score at 61-43 on a Zingaro layup.
