CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State head volleyball coach
Chuck Voss announced the addition of three players for the upcoming 2026 season, with
Alyssa Cerovac (Ancaster, Ontario),
Audrey Ellis (North Canton, Ohio) and
Addison Koppelman (Chardon, Ohio) set to join the Vikings this fall.
ALYSSA CEROVAC | OUTSIDE HITTER
Cerovac comes to Cleveland State following a prep career at Bishop Tonnos Secondary School where she was an OFSAA Champion and multiple-time OFSAA Finalist. Cerovac was also part of a team that won three Senior Volleyball Championships, while she was also named a Senior Volleyball All-Star, and Female Athlete of the Year.
Cerovac played her club volleyball for Halton Hurricanes Category 8, placing fifth at Provincials and ninth at Nationals.
Academically, Cerovac earned Honor Roll every year during high school, and plans to major in Health Sciences.
Cerovac on Why CSU: "Choosing CSU was an easy decision for me. Throughout the recruitment process, the coaches were absolutely amazing and made everything such a great experience. When I visited, all the girls on the team were so welcoming and supportive, it just felt like the perfect fit for me. On top of that, CSU has a really strong Health Sciences program, which lines up perfectly with what I want to study. I'm so excited to continue growing both academically and athletically as a Viking!"
AUDREY ELLIS | OUTSIDE HITTER
Ellis joins the Vikings following a prep career at Hoover where she was the Federal League Player of the Year and three-time All-League honoree. Ellis helped Hoover to a pair of District Championships during her career, finishing with 1,280+ kills, 870+ digs, 160+ service aces, and 145+ blocks.
In addition, Ellis was also named the Stark County DII Offensive Player of the Year, Player of the Year All-Stark County DII, First Team All-District and was a nominee for the Greater Akron-Canton Girls Volleyball Player of the Year.
Ellis played her club volleyball for Academy Volleyball Cleveland, finishing as the Nike Open Runner-Up.
Academically, Ellis is part of the National Honors Society, was awarded the Ohio Governor's Merit Scholarship and was a four-time Academic Letter Winner, and plans to major in Political Science/Economics-Pre Law.
Ellis on Why CSU: "I chose Cleveland State because from the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like home. I immediately loved the atmosphere, as well as the coaches and players. Finding a program that values strong relationships between coaches and players, and among teammates, was really important to me, and Cleveland State truly showed that those connections matter."
ADDISON KOPPELMAN | OUTSIDE HITTER
Koppelman comes to Cleveland State following a prep career at Chardon, where she finished with 900+ kills and 775+ digs. As a four-time All-WRC honoree, Koppelman was named the WRC Player of the Year as a senior. Koppelman also earned All-District accolades as a junior and senior.
Koppelman played her club volleyball for RockCity Volleyball, where they finished first at The Nike Open.
Academically, Koppelman is part of the National Honors Society and a member of the Honor Roll, and plans to study Exercise Science.
Koppelman on Why CSU: "I committed to Cleveland State University because when I went on my visit, I felt very comfortable with the coaches and girls on the team. Cleveland State has a great culture and knows exactly what their goals are for the future. Besides having an amazing volleyball program, they have great academics for my major."
