CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team will close out regular season play at home this weekend, hosting Milwaukee in a two-match series on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15.
Prior to Saturday's match, the Vikings will be honoring the senior trio of
Matilda Dahlstrom,
Abbi Martin and
Laken Voss.
Entering this weekend's matches, Voss is just shy of earning a spot in the CSU Career Record Book for kills, standing at 1,190, just 10 kills shy of moving into 10
th place. Last time out, Voss became the CSU Record Holder for attack attempts, taking over first place with 4,413 total attempts.
For the season, Voss has a team-best 270 kills, while freshman
Bryn VanVleet has added 256 to lead the Viking offense. Both Voss (13
th – 3.00) and VanVleet (14
th – 2.94) rank in the top-15 among #HLVB players in kills per set, while Voss also ranks 13
th averaging 3.30 points per set.
Isabella Gibbons and
Allison Salazar have been splitting time captaining the Viking offense, Gibbons with 499 total assists on the year and Salazar with 296.
Defensively,
Vayda Delventhal is averaging a team-best 4.52 digs per set as Cleveland State's libero, ranking fifth among league players. In addition, Voss is averaging 2.87 digs per set, while
Reilly Wadden has been averaging 1.92.
