HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Vikings (3-5-5, 0-2-4) earned a hard-fought point at Northern Kentucky (7-2-5, 4-1-1) on Thursday evening.
Cleveland State fired off the first three shots of the game with two on frame as the game remained scoreless with 13:06 remaining in the half. The next two shots of the half went to NKU as the contest moved to halftime scoreless.
The Norse held a 10-6 advantage in shots during the second half, but the Green and White held a 4-3 edge in shots on goal as the game ended in a zero-zero draw.
Both teams had five shots on goal, with the Norse holding a 12-9 edge in overall shots.
Mayra Sesmas led the way with three shots, including two on frame. 
Tanji Sarver was next with two shots and one on target. 
Hayleigh Lewis earned the shutout after making five saves.
The Vikings return home to face Wright State on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.
