MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Vikings (3-5-7, 0-2-6) recorded their third straight draw at Robert Morris (4-6-4, 2-2-3), 1-1, on Thursday evening.
Cleveland State couldn't have asked for a better start as
Tanji Sarver finished off a through ball from
Payton Koebbe in the third minute. However, Robert Morris answered right back on the ensuing kickoff to even the game back up.
The scoreline remained 1-1 at the intermission, with the Colonials holding a 7-3 advantage in shots.
The Green and White tilted the shot advantage in their favor during the second half, 12-7, but neither team scored.
For the game, Cleveland State held a 15-14 edge in shots but was outshot on goal, 10-8.
Mayra Sesmas was tied for a game-best five shots, with three going on target.
Alicia Riberich and Sarver each finished with two shots on goal.
Hayleigh Lewis made nine saves in the game.
The Vikings will take to Krenzler Field for a final time this season on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. against Purdue Fort Wayne.
