CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team got back in the win column Wednesday, picking up a 74-53 victory at RMU. With the win, the Vikings are now 14-4 on the year and 6-2 in Horizon League play.

Game Stats
-Mickayla Perdue led the Viking offense with 32 points, while Jordana Reisma added 15 and Destiny Leo chipped in 14.
-Destiny Leo and Sara Guerreiro both grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds, while Macey Fegan had six boards.
-Cleveland State recorded 12 assists on the game, including four from Mickayla Perdue.
-The Viking defense notched 14 steals, including five from Macey Fegan and four from Mickayla Perdue.
-Cleveland State forced RMU into 19 turnovers, turning these miscues into 25 points.

-With 32 points on the game, Mickayla Perdue set a career-high and recorded her second 30-point game of the season.
-Destiny Leo recorded her second double-double of the year with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
-After finishing with 15 points, Jordana Reisma has now recorded 15+ points for the 11^th time this season.
-Sara Guerreiro notched her fourth double-digit rebounding performance of the season, after grabbing 10 boards.
-With 14 steals on the game, the Vikings have now recorded double-digit steals for the fifth time this season.

The Game
Following a back-and-forth start to the contest, an 8-0 run from the Vikings – which included a pair of three-pointers from Macey Fegan and Mickayla Perdue – gave the Vikings a 13-6 advantage midway through the frame. The Vikings were then able to hold the lead over the closing minutes of the quarter, taking a 15-10 edge into the second 10 minutes of play.

Cleveland State carried its momentum into the second quarter, opening the frame with a 13-0 run to take control of the contest at 28-10 on another Perdue three-pointer. The Viking defense was able to hold RMU off the board for the first seven minutes of the frame, extending their lead to double-digits during this stretch. Cleveland State was then able to control play throughout the rest of the quarter, taking a 15-point lead into the halftime break at 40-25.

After trading baskets over the opening minutes of the third quarter, a Destiny Leo three-pointer at the 4:15 mark kick started a 12-0 run for the Vikings, giving Cleveland State a commanding 59-33 lead late in the frame.

With a 59-38 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play, the Vikings were able to hold a 20+ point lead throughout the majority of the quarter, coming away with the 74-53 victory to get back in the win column.
