CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team got back in the win column Wednesday, picking up a 74-53 victory at RMU. With the win, the Vikings are now 14-4 on the year and 6-2 in Horizon League play.

The Game
Following a back-and-forth start to the contest, an 8-0 run from the Vikings – which included a pair of three-pointers from
Macey Fegan and
Mickayla Perdue – gave the Vikings a 13-6 advantage midway through the frame. The Vikings were then able to hold the lead over the closing minutes of the quarter, taking a 15-10 edge into the second 10 minutes of play.
Cleveland State carried its momentum into the second quarter, opening the frame with a 13-0 run to take control of the contest at 28-10 on another Perdue three-pointer. The Viking defense was able to hold RMU off the board for the first seven minutes of the frame, extending their lead to double-digits during this stretch. Cleveland State was then able to control play throughout the rest of the quarter, taking a 15-point lead into the halftime break at 40-25.
After trading baskets over the opening minutes of the third quarter, a
Destiny Leo three-pointer at the 4:15 mark kick started a 12-0 run for the Vikings, giving Cleveland State a commanding 59-33 lead late in the frame.
With a 59-38 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play, the Vikings were able to hold a 20+ point lead throughout the majority of the quarter, coming away with the 74-53 victory to get back in the win column.
